Birds & Dogs that keep us!

Cele (pronounced "seal") is part of the Richland Community located northeast of Austin--Pflugerville and southeast of Hutto, TX.

We have 3 pairs of breeding birds,  since reducing our breeding stock for the past five years. However due to our age and personal health, we are downsizing to only these remaining pairs.

Our babies are handfed and hand tamed. Our birds are housed inside with air conditioning and heat kept within a constant range. We do an environmental swab of the aviary each six months for disease testing.  We are disease free and keep a closed aviary. Breeding is done all year. The birds are protected from the general public, but use to home environment like TV, music, dogs, outside birds and travel. These birds are abundance weaned, allowed to fledge, socialized, healthy, friendly, and playful.

Healthy bonded breeder birds is our number one goal.  Breeder pairs, if sold, are expected to produce for their new owners. We do sell pet quality birds once our pairs have been made.  A wise bird owner understands the importance of starting with a healthy bird. Cele Birds warrants at the time of purchase, the bird purchased is in good health. We offer a Contract for Bird Purchase, and will accept deposits once the birds have been DNA sexed.

We will ship birds at the buyers expense, weather permitting. Airline shipping is the only method of shipping we use (Austin Int.--AUS). We will also drive a reasonable distance from Austin, TX to deliver birds.

We share our aviary with three African Greys (Nicholas/Whoopi=pair & Honey); two cockatoos (Peaches, a Moluccan, & Ellie, an Eleanor); a Blue & Gold Macaw (Charlie);  a pair of Meyers (Goldie & Hans); a  pair of parakeets and two dogs. In childhood, we both owned parakeets. Our experiences in breeding birds has been with Lady Gouldian Finches, Canaries, DYH Amazons, BH Caiques, Cockatiels, Indian Ringnecks, Lovebirds, Parakeets, Poicephalus, Pionus, Pyrrhura (Black Capped, Crimson Bellied, Green Cheek Mutations, and White Eared Leucotis) & Sun Conures, Parrotlets, Quakers, and Lineolated Parakeets. Hand feeding has also been done with cockatoos and macaws. The experiences and knowledge gained from the aviary and avian friends has given us a full life!

"She was not quite what you would call refined.
She was not quite what you would call unrefined.
She was the kind of person that would keep a parrot."
